Soon-to-be mom of four, actress and singer Jennifer Lilley adopted two of her sons via foster care. Together with her husband Jason, they’ve been long-time advocates of foster care awareness. Read below to learn more about her passion project, Christmas is Not Cancelled to support children across the country.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. At Christmas is Not Cancelled, we’re trying to do just that. We want to create a community that helps thousands of children across the US. We do this by partnering with like-minded individuals and brands who want to make a difference in the world. And while we’re raising funds for a cause, we want to give you the chance to win amazing prizes too.
How It All Started
With the pandemic wiping out most of 2020, my friend Ale and I couldn’t bear the thought of Christmas being cancelled. We wanted to do something about it and so in October 2020, we launched “Christmas is Not Cancelled.” The mission of this initiative was to gift 10,000 kids with quality toys through Toys for Tots, while supporting our troops through the USO (United Service Organizations).
Because of our customers’ huge hearts and incredible partners like Balsam Hill®, we exceeded our mission as we were able to give gifts to 10,380 children. And with that, we realized that it wasn’t just us two girls with a goal. We have an entire community of world-changers who were willing to go the distance. The support we received for our 2020 campaign was overwhelming and we know that our work was just getting started.
Last summer, we partnered up again for our Camp Christmas in July campaign and provided over 3,200 backpacks to children in foster care. These backpacks are full of quality school supplies to support them as they go back to school. And we didn’t stop there. We also gave over 1,600 pairs of brand-new pajamas to children entering the foster care system. This was our way to comfort them during their time away from home.
Where We Are Now
This holiday season, we doubled last year’s goal. From October to December 10th, Christmas is Not Cancelled is hosting another Toys for Tots fundraiser with the aim of gifting new toys to 20,000 children. As of December 7th, we’re at 18,000+ toys and have faith that we’ll reach our goal by December 10th. We’re thrilled to share that Balsam Hill donated $5,000 to Toys for Tots to help cover their operational costs.
In addition to providing toys to children through Toys for Tots, at least 10% of all merchandise on ChristmasIsNotCancelled.com benefits Childhelp and their life-saving work. We are also dedicated to making sure every child living at a Childhelp therapeutic village receives a Christmas gift this year.

How Can You Help?
Take part in this year’s Christmas is Not Cancelled campaign in three ways:
- Give and Win – Buy toy bundles to help complete the Toys for Tots gift package of 2 toys and 3 books per child. As a thank you, each bundle you purchase gets you an equivalent number of entries for our weekly draws. Plus, you can send a free personalized Christmas card to a loved one indicating that you purchased the gift bundle in their honor.
- Shop Our Merch – Shop Christmas sweaters, ornaments, care packages, and more for yourself or a loved one. All items purchased from our shop will automatically give a toy to one of the children that we’re supporting.
- Enroll in Our Christmas University – Christmas University is an interactive make-believe college where we come together to play games and participate in Christmas-themed classes each week. This is a platform where we create lasting friendships as we support our common goal of helping children across the US.

Your trees are beautiful. They seem to be easy to ensemble by what I see on TV and in your magazine. I wish I could afford one. Being disabled is hard to put up trees. But we do it lol. But wanted to say how absolutely beautiful they look.
