This holiday season, Balsam Hill CEO and founder Thomas Harman takes a look back at meaningful events that’s kept the Christmas spirit alive throughout the year. Watch this video to see the many ways we’ve created and shared joy with each other and our communities.
Show TranscriptionThomas Harman: Merry Christmas from all of us at Balsam Hill. It comes as no surprise that this year was unlike no other and brought many challenges along the way.
But in those challenges we found unique ways to create and share joy together, while apart. When COVID-19 hit, we first looked inward to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our Balsam Hill team.
We then looked outward to see how we could help our communities. In five days, we set up Balsam Provisions, our not-for-profit effort to provide additional food delivery when it was needed most.
Balsam Provisions’ food and cash donations totaled $60,000 and supported three food banks across America.
In July, we partnered with our friend Kevin Frazier to bring the spirit of Christmas to those in need by surprising families with holiday cheer and much-needed supplies.
This holiday season, we continues our ongoing partnership to raise money for Operation Smile which provides surgeries to improve the health and lives of so many children worldwide.
In addition, we made donations throughout the year to local organizations to provide aid including over 15,000 meals for those in need.
To close out 2020, we happily partnered with actress Jen Lilley in sponsoring Operation Christmas is Not Cancelled, which provided 10,000 gifts to Toys for Tots and $5,000 to the USO.
We quickly adjusted to life working from home and found ways to come together to celebrate Christmas in July, Onsie Days, birthdays, and Thanksgiving with the teams’ families and pets.
On behalf of everyone at Balsam Hill, we would like to thank you for your support. This year, enjoying the little moments became more important than ever before. We hope you found new and meaningful ways to create and share joy with those in your life.
Merry Christmas, and may it be a very happy New Year.
