In our tradition of bringing readers the most inspiring holiday decorating ideas, Balsam Hill presents this year’s 12 Bloggers of Christmas.

Now on its second year, the series will feature 12 of our most wonderful home and lifestyle bloggers across the country, unveiling their Christmas tree decorating themes this season.

12 Bloggers of Christmas 2014

A dear friend of Balsam Hill – and fellow lover of great design – Jennifer Rizzo has gathered together all our bloggers participating in this year’s campaign. Jen also recently opened her home to us for Holiday House Walk 2014, a week of Christmas decorating with friends.

Now, Balsam Hill is launching the 12 Bloggers of Christmas campaign, with many thanks to Jen. I’ll be starting the celebration with a sneak peek of my own Christmas display. The series will continue with in-depth interviews with our fellow bloggers, who will be featured on the Balsam Hill blog all throughout the week. Then, Jen will reveal a delightful gift to all of you to cap off the celebration.

Stay tuned for the many surprises we have in store for you! We begin with my own tree decoration using the Noel burgundy and gold from Balsam Hill.

My Balsam Hill Tree

For my signature look this year, I’ve decided to decorate my California Baby Redwood using the elegant and regal Gold and Burgundy theme.

I used the Gold Embossed Burgundy Velvet and Burgundy Dupioni ribbons and the Noel Ornaments, which were easy to place evenly on the tree. What I like about the ornament set is that they come with a visual content list, so it’s easy to plan how to place them.

For added texture and dimension, I also used the amber crystal ornaments as fillers and assorted picks and sprays to add sparkle and bring out the elegance of my décor theme. I supplemented with some gold ornaments that I already have and they are stored in one box so they were easy to locate.
