Over the years, wedding bells have heralded the month of June. With this joyous season in full swing, we thought we’d tap into the expertise of two of the most creative designers from across the blogosphere for ideas, tips, and tricks on how to style weddings.

In the coming weeks, Rachel of Handmade Charlotte and Courtney of French Country Cottage will be guesting on our blog to show us how to decorate a wedding venue. As a prelude, we invite you to a trip down memory lane with Dagmar’s Christmas wedding photos from last year.

A Wedding with a Touch of Christmas

Dagmar’s daughter Abbey got married in 2014, and it was a happy occasion that benefited from thoughtful planning. Dagmar decided to give the wedding a hint of Christmas to express both the excitement over Abbey’s happiness and the joy of welcoming a new family member.

According to Dagmar, she set up a white tree to reflect the color’s symbolism in weddings, which is purity of heart and intention. She decorated Balsam Hill’s Mount Washington White Tree with winter-themed ornaments and a platinum glitter ribbon to make the tree glow and stand out. It was intended to serve as a beautiful backdrop for guests to take photos with.

Tables and chairs were adorned with pale pink roses to impart the venue with a sense of dainty charm.

Balsam Hill’s Tall Silverleaf Candle Holders adorned the mantel, together with a photo frame and initials of the bride and groom. Their initials also appeared in other prominent areas of the pavilion, signaling the couple’s eagerness to finally become one.

Stay tuned throughout the month to see how our guest bloggers, Rachel and Courtney, will decorate for a Christmas-themed wedding themselves. Through this blog, we hope to inspire you to create beautiful events that will be remembered for a lifetime.
