A little bit of twinkle is always a good thing in my opinion. Whether it is a twinkle in someone’s eye when they smile, a twinkling star in the sky, or an abundance of twinkle light charm for Christmas.
Twinkling trees and garlands add the perfect amount of ambiance indoors. And outdoors, they feel just as magical. With garlands and wreaths on doors, porches, and outdoor seating areas decorated for the holidays, there are so many places to add an extra sprinkle of magic this season. Today I am sharing a few ideas that you can incorporate into your own home.
Wreaths aren’t just for doors
This wreath is full of sweet vintage charm with glittered pears and berries. And even better, it is battery operated which means you can enjoy it twinkling away anywhere you would like. Perfect on doors and above the mantel, and also on the table with a few faux candles planted inside.
Twinkling garlands are perfect nearly anywhere. On an outdoor fireplace, they add such a beautiful touch. I love the old-fashioned nostalgic feeling of this garland. It reminds me of the ones my grandmother used to have out every year, and those twinkling lights add a softer texture to the rock fireplace.
An outdoor tree
Always a favorite, I love to place a tree out on the covered patio. Decorated with just twinkling lights or with a few ornaments, a tree on the porch or patio is a perfect way to celebrate the season and welcome guests.
Let it snow
Frosty flocked garlands, wreaths, and potted foliage are perfect for creating a welcoming doorway. The lights add such a warm feeling. Add in a couple of lanterns with candles to finish the look.
Twinkles in the background
Often overlooked, the background of your outdoor areas are a perfect place to add some twinkles.
I love the gold trees mixed with the pretty white for a festive touch.
A touch of Christmas cheer
Add a couple of festive red mercury glass lanterns for a charming nod to traditional Christmas colors. These lanterns are LED battery powered lanterns with a lovely mercury glass that filters the flickering light perfectly.
No matter what your outdoor decor color scheme is, adding garlands, wreaths, and trees along with candles and lanterns will create an extra bit of enchantment this holiday season and throughout the year.
