For day 4 of the Tastemakers campaign, we are featuring Amy of The Idea Room. She is a former high school teacher turned blogger, who shares a variety of activities in her blog. These activities range from cooking to home décor and DIY projects.

Balsam Hill Tastemaker 2016: Amy of The Idea Room

Amy initially worked with Balsam Hill for the 12 Bloggers of Christmas campaign held last 2015, where she decorated our Norway Spruce Christmas Tree with clean and minimalistic pieces. She expressed her love for classy and simple looks through a gold and white theme, adding a hint of plaid for a unique touch.

This year, she chose to go a slightly different route with our new French Country Ornament Set.

When asked what her essential holiday decorating tip is, Amy shared, “Keep some ornaments off of your Christmas tree and use them to decorate small areas in your home. Fill a glass jar with them. Add them to some shelves in your hutch and throw a few in a bowl to decorate a table top with some fresh evergreens. The festive ornaments will bring a pop of color or elegance to different areas of your home.”.
