As part of Balsam Hill’s 10th anniversary celebration, we hosted a very special series with some of the top bloggers we’ve worked with through the years. We invited our Tastemakers Housewalk partners to showcase their individual holiday decorating styles by adorning their Christmas trees with personally picked pieces from Balsam Hill’s latest line of themed ornaments and trim.
Balsam Hill's Tastemakers 2016
Take a peek at how our blogger friends decorated their treasured Christmas trees with themes ranging from the charming and rustic, to the gleaming and contemporary.

Tastemakers Day 1

French Country Tree by Courtney of French Country Cottage

Our brand ambassador, Courtney of French Country Cottage, kicked things off with her beautifully embellished Frosted Fraser Fir. She expressed her love for blush, creamy white hues, and gold crackled textures by decorating with our French Country Ornament set, Glitter Jute Pinecone Picks, and Specialty Christmas Tree Ribbon.

French Country tree by Maryann of Domestically Speaking

For her Noble Fir Christmas tree, Maryann of Domestically Speaking opted for a more rustic look by complementing her French Country Ornament set with pinecones and our Champagne Acanthus Flower Picks. Maryann blended together a pretty combination of rose gold hues, silver tones, and snow-kissed ornaments that added sparkle and grace to her living room.

Tastemakers Day 2

Nordic Frost tree by Abby of Just a Girl and Her Blog

Day 2 started with Abby’s glowing Pinehurst Spruce Instant Evergreen Tree on Just a Girl and Her Blog. She chose our Nordic Frost Ornament Set, which featured traditional red, white, and silver tones, and added black and white ribbon accents for a cheerful spin on a classic design. To tie the whole look together, she decorated her living room with our Holiday Decorative Sled. She shares, For a few years now, I have been keeping an eye out for a runner sled that I could add to my Christmas decor, and this year I finally got one!“.

Crystal Palace Tree by Jaime of So Much Better with Age

Our Crystal Palace Ornament Set made its debut on Jamie’s blog, So Much Better with Age. The second day closed with this elegant collection that featured hand-blown glass ornaments in an exquisite silver and plum finish. Linen fabric and big buttons polished up the whole look on her frosted tree, while our Gray Velvet Ribbon and Silver Jewel White Dupioni Ribbon provided extra shimmer.

Tastemakers Day 3

Silver and Gold tree by Sarah of The Yellow Cape Cod

Sarah of The Yellow Cape Cod featured a unique take on her Fifth Avenue Flatback Tree. She embellished it with vintage accents and highlighted it with our Silver and Gold Glass Ornament Set and Miracle Flame LED Candles for added glow. Sarah speaks about tapping into her inner child when she chose this theme for her home office dining room. She opted for a sophisticated, Victorian-inspired look that blended perfectly with the neutral tones of her walls.

Tastemakers Day 4

French Country tree by Amy of the Idea Room

Another fan of our French Country theme is Amy of the Idea Room. She embellished her Sugarlands Spruce Tree with our French Country Ornaments, which showcased her simple yet sophisticated decorating style. To add more sparkle and hints of silver, she inserted Iced Glitter Twig Picks in between the branches and wrapped the tree with our White with Silver Jewels Ribbon.

Nordic Frost tree by Kristin of My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia

Closing the day was a Scandinavian-inspired decorated King Mountain Pine Christmas Tree on Kristin’s My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia blog. She loved the meticulous beading and glitter accents on our Nordic Frost Ornament Set and paired them with red ribbon accents and our Lodge Tree Skirt. The combination of silver, red, and white hues gave her living room a dash of classic Christmas elegance.

Tastemakers Day 5

Christmas Cheer and Snow Haven tree by Melaine of My Sweet Savannah

A proud owner of a 3-year-old Castle Peak Pine, Melaine of My Sweet Savannah adorned her tree with our Christmas Cheer Ornament Set and Snow Haven Glass Ornaments. For a personal touch, she added some of her family’s special handmade trinkets and those given to her kids by loved ones. This year, Melaine chose a look reminiscent of traditional childhood memories by decorating her tree with our Jolly Saint Nick Tree Topper.

Crystal Palace tree by Kristin of Bliss at Home

Rounding out our Tastemakers Housewalk is Kristin of Bliss at Home. She decorated her Calistoga Fir Tree with our Crystal Palace Ornaments and focused on an elegant palette of black, gold, and silver. She fashioned a tree topper out of our Gray Velvet Ribbon, which she describes as “the perfect” complement to her gray tufted velvet ottoman.

Thank you to our talented blogger friends who celebrated our 10th anniversary with us. We hope that their unique designs and versatile approaches on our latest holiday collections inspired you to put an elegant spin on your decorations this season.
