A Simple Christmas Tablescape

Christmas is quickly closing in and we cannot believe how fast time is flying by! While we currently don’t have any plans on hosting friends or family this holiday season, we still want to be as festive as we can, because you never know when you might have that unannounced but much-needed visit from a neighbor for a coffee and a chat.

We, like everyone, are beyond busy at this point in the year, so doing an over-the-top Christmas tablescape just doesn’t make sense for us this year. We are craving simple, but I did want to do something a little unexpected as well.

Thankfully all of Balsam Hill’s garlands make a statement on their own because I just used two of the Orchard Harvest garlands down the center of our table and mixed in some gold candlesticks—that is the simple centerpiece.

For the unexpected twist, I added the Orchard Harvest wreath to our antique chandelier over the table. I attached the wreath upside down (back side facing the chandelier and ceiling) using craft wire. If you recreate this, make sure that your wreath is not heavier than your light fixture so you don’t damage it, and that there are no low parts that may be a fire hazard. I love the unexpected pop of the wreath on the chandelier and it instantly was a lot cozier in here!

So here we have a super simple Christmas look with just two strands of garland and a wreath. I love that the garland is super easy to remove from the table if needed to make more room, and I’m still obsessed with this garland after using it on our mantel [HERE] with the pops of color in the pears and berries.
