The contest-winning wreath
The winning wreath in Balsam Hill’s Showroom Event

As the holidays conclude, so too does Balsam Hill’s Showroom Sale. As a token of gratitude to all who participated, we would like to look back at what took place last December during the special event dedicated to our Bay Area blogger friends. The night was definitely a night for the holiday-decorating enthusiast, with décor giveaways, a wreath decorating contest, and of course, great wine and good food.

Lizelle of Tada! Shop

Yuliya created her own woodland scene with the wreath she decorated using Platinum Net Ribbon, Woodland Snow Berries Floral Sprays, and the Woodland Ornament Set.

Kara of Fabulistas

Kara was not able to join the wreath-decorating contest, unfortunately. However, she loved our wreaths so much that she decided to purchase one to use on her front door.

Eden of The Road to the Good Life

Eden was very happy to be a part of the event and the wreath-decorating contest, and it was evident in her enthusiasm during the contest. She opted for a minimalistic design to highlight the realistic foliage of the wreath she was decorating.  She used a cluster design toward the bottom of the wreath that allowed the foliage of the rest of the wreath to be highlighted. Her clean, simple design comprised Snow Berry Floral Sprays, Red and Silver Mercury Glass Ornaments, and Manor Robins. Eden’s wreath came in second in the wreath-decorating contest.

Emily of Jetsetting Fashionista

Emily brought out her inner fashionista by creating a holiday ensemble of red and silver, and gold. She added splashes of both holiday colors and the glitz of metallics on the wreath she decorated with the help of the Red Velvet Ribbon with Gold Thread Edge, red berry floral sprays, winter-themed floral sprays, and a set of Red and Silver Mercury Glass Ornaments.

Ana of Bongga Mom

Ana has never before decorated a wreath but decided to try her luck in our wreath-decorating contest. She decided to have some fun in the process and asked her two sons to help her decorate. Red and gold was the color scheme they chose, and the decorations they used were red berry sprays, Gramercy Park Amaryllis Floral Sprays, Red Mercury Glass Ornaments, and some Manor Robins.

Cam of Growing Up Goofy

Cam delegated the wreath decorating to her mom Judy, who also happens to be a decorating enthusiast.  This wreath exhibited balance and judicious placement of berries and the gold edged leaf picks.  The ornaments added interest for an elegant rustic look.  Their winning wreath was decorated with red berry sprays, Gramercy Park Amaryllis Floral Sprays, and the Woodland Ornament Set

Melisa of Apartment Forty-six

Melisa brought her professional interior design experience to the Balsam Hill showroom and created a holiday showcase.  She also decorated in clusters balanced around the wreath that set off several unique  combinations. She decorated her wreath with Platinum Net Ribbon, Woodland Snow Berries Floral Sprays, Gramercy Park Amaryllis Floral Sprays, and Gold and Bronze Mercury Glass Ornaments.

Kim of Tidbits and Twine

Balsam Hill’s Red Mercury Glass Ornaments add a vibrant splash of life to a classic artificial wreath.

Kim loves decorating wreaths, and she fell in love with Balsam Hill’s ornament collection while she was decorating her wreath for the contest. For her home, she used our Red Mercury Glass Ornaments to spruce up her dining room wreath and holiday gallery wall.

Camille of Planning Pretty

Balsam Hill’s Sparkle and Snowflake Ornament Set sparkles with winter magic on a classic artificial Christmas tree.

After seeing our ornament sets, Camille was inspired to create a French-inspired Christmas theme in her home. With the help of Balsam Hill’s Sparkle and Snowflake Ornament Set, which she won in the Showroom Event giveaway, she was able to do just that. Being her first set of mercury glass ornaments, she and her husband fell in love with the set instantly.

We at Balsam Hill can’t help but feel a bit sad that this event must conclude with the holidays. This is why we are happy to say that our Burlingame showroom is slated to open sometime in October of this year. We hope to see you all there again for a night of food, fun, and holiday decorating!
