BH: What inspired you to start blogging?
Jen: I had three kids under the age of 5 at the time and I had a lot of ideas that I wanted to get out there. I had always wanted to write a decorating book. I am excited to say after 6 1/2 years of blogging, my book comes out next October!
BH: Do you have a signature ornament you use on your tree year after year?
Jen: I had boxes of Shiny-Brites I inherited from relatives and I love using those every year.
BH: What’s your favorite family holiday tradition?
Jen: We go to Christmas Eve service as a family. I love it because at the end of the service, the entire congregation gets up and sings ‘Silent Night’ around the manger. We go home and have a nice family dinner, and the kids can open one present each.
BH: What’s one of your fondest holiday memories?
Jen: Going to a big Polish family dinner on Christmas Eve at my aunt’s.
BH: When you decorate for the holidays, are there any guidelines you try to follow?
Jen: Nope! I just love to use what I have. I do like to make a lot of my own holiday home decor.
