Last year at this time, I was playing with flowers, making wreaths, and dreaming up designs with favorite flowers for a new collection with Balsam Hill.
I was so honored when Balsam Hill asked me to create wreaths and arrangements for a licensed collection with my brand, French Country Cottage. It was a dream-come-true opportunity that I am so grateful for and that I could hardly wait to get started working on.
And since the florals have just launched on the Balsam Hill website, I wanted to share a bit about each of them and what the inspiration pieces behind them looked like. I am completely amazed at how close to them Balsam Hill was able to get the faux creations to look like.
1. Loire Valley Arrangement
This is my favorite in the collection. It is filled with hydrangeas, eucalyptus, and anemones with just a couple yellow garden roses. And this was the inspiration for it:
2. Brittany Rose Arrangement
A galvanized bucket filled with garden roses – a bit of a farmhouse-style arrangement. One of the things I tried to do was to incorporate different types of containers than you would normally find. This metal bucket was simple and charming.

3. Chantilly Arrangement
Simple, sweet, and soft in color, this arrangement in a vintage silver sugar container is another favorite. A few changes to the vessel, and it looks darling in a simple white vase.

And Balsam Hill also decided to turn this arrangement into a beautiful wreath.
4. Marseille Meadow Foliage
Olive dotted with eucalyptus, rosemary, white ranunculus, wax flower, and silver brunia, this wreath was inspired by simple greens with a touch of color.
I love the soft sage backdrop with the pretty accent colors.

And this wreath was one that they also turned into a garland – which is perfect on the mantel, the stair railing, or as a beautiful centerpiece on the table.
I am so grateful to Balsam Hill for the opportunity to create and turn my vision for flowers and wreaths with a French Country Cottage style into something amazing that can be enjoyed all year long.
