Selecting a Christmas tree for your home may sometimes feel like a difficult task, especially with the wide range of choices available in the market. We here at Balsam Hill aim to create a pleasant tree-buying experience for you with our helpful Christmas Tree Buying Guide that offers valuable information that will hopefully aid you in your decision.

Artificial Christmas Tree Varieties
Balsam Hill provides customers with quality trees that mimic the look and feel of freshly cut trees from a Christmas tree farm. Our collections are often named after the actual trees that served as inspirations. So when browsing through our site, you’re bound to come across three of our more popular varieties: Fir, Spruce, and Pine. What do these terms mean? Basically, they describe the overall look of the tree with regards to its needles’ build and placement. Choosing the right variety is important because the needles of a tree should complement the ornaments you plan to use. If your ornaments are on the heavier side, you should ideally pick a variety that’s apt to handle the extra weight, such as the Spruce tree.

Items you need:

Card stock
Decorative ink stamps
Scoring board and scoring knife
Decorative punchers

Step One:

Select card stock in a color that goes well with your table décor. For an autumn-inspired table setting, you may want to choose pastel shades of orange, yellow, or red. A winter-themed dining table is best complemented by shades of off-white. Stick to paler shades as they highlight the decorative details of the card. Cut the card stock into 4×4 inch squares, or larger depending on your table arrangement. Score them down the middle to make folding easier later on.

Invites & R.S.V.P.

Above all, remember to send out invites up to a month prior to the planned party. This ensures that your guests have ample time to R.S.V.P. and note your party in their calendars. Sending invitations out too early may result in guests losing their anticipation for the event. The key is to entice your guests with a marvelous invite that drops hints on what they may expect, so that they will arrive ready to have a magnificent time.

Welcoming your Guests

Once your guests arrive, welcome them with a vibrant greeting, and let them know where they can attain refreshments and scrumptious appetizers while waiting for the main event. Making your guests feel welcome from the start puts everyone in a pleasant mood, creating an ambiance in which your guests can comfortably mingle with each other. Read This Entry
