Balsam Hill Tastemakers: A Wrap-Up

As part of Balsam Hill’s 10th anniversary celebration, we hosted a very special series with some of the top bloggers we’ve worked with through the years. We invited our Tastemakers Housewalk partners to showcase their individual holiday decorating styles by adorning their Christmas trees with personally picked pieces from Balsam Hill’s latest line of themed ornaments and trim.

The last day of our Tastemakers campaign features Melaine of My Sweet Savannah. A wife and mom, Melaine has always been passionate about decorating. She has fond memories of going to garage sales and thrift stores with her mom, which is a tradition she continues with her own children. Her goal is to inspire others through her blog, which features her personal take on home décor, must-have home items, DIY projects, and more.

A blogger, professional home stylist, former banker, and contributor to various sites and publications, Sarah started The Yellow Cape Cod design studio in 2009. She built it with the goal of helping people create beautiful, unique, and practical homes. Her blog is home to posts about DIY tutorials, home décor tips, and much more.

Rounding out Day 2 of Balsam Hill’s Tastemakers is the woman behind So Much Better With Age. Jamie spent years as a medical office assistant before she realized that blogging and decorating were her true loves. The blog is her outlet for sharing her passions: decorating, photography, crafting, baking, and more. She writes about all things French and vintage, her design inspirations, and chronicles her challenges and triumphs in her special blog segment, “Life Series”.

Jamie decorated our Pikes Peak Tree for the 12 Bloggers of Christmas Campaign 2014. She showcased her love for whites and neutrals and embellished her Christmas tree with vintage-inspired, French ornaments and finials. The understated neutral tones complemented the beautiful white foliage, while her DIY Joyeux Noel sign added a personal touch to her tree. Read This Entry

Our next blogger for Balsam Hill’s Tastemakers is Maryann – the driving force behind DIY and lifestyle blog, Domestically Speaking. She started blogging in 2009 and her site has since become a creative outlet for her favorite recipes, holiday decorating tips, and crafting techniques.

Maryann joined the 12 Bloggers of Christmas 2015  and decorated our BH Noble Fir with a Rustic Luxe theme. She gushed about how realistic the tree was and decided to adorn it touches of gold, bronze, and white glass ornaments. To tie the entire look together, she enveloped the tree with a gorgeous gold and brown velvet ribbon. Read This Entry
