It’s the season of giving and Balsam Hill hopes to embody that spirit by spreading cheer to those in need. We will be featuring six charities with partnering influencers, each giving you the chance to help out.

From December 7 to January 5, 2018, you can spread cheer with a single click. Check our Facebook page on the dates below and leave a comment, react, or share. For each comment on a blog post—whether from our blog or one of our guests’—we will donate $2 to the featured charity. For social media comments and shares, we will donate $1; for social media reactions, we will donate 50 cents.

  • December 17-19: JDRF Minnesota & Marian of Miss Mustard Seed
  • December 20-22: Enchanted Makeovers & Sarah of The Yellow Cape Cod
  • December 27-29: Point Hope & Radio Host Delilah
  • January 2-4: Reba’s Ranch House & Country Artist Reba McEntire

Participants

Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Idaho & Courtney of French Country Cottage

Courtney from French Country Cottage

Courtney will begin the season by featuring the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Idaho on her blog, French Country Cottage. As the name of her blog suggests, it’s clear to see in her designs that she adores the French countryside aesthetic. For this campaign, Courtney is helping support those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias around the world. The organization seeks to help by finding treatments, preventions, and their ultimate goal: a cure. Learn more about the struggle of Alzheimer’s in her blog post.

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt & Country Artist Brett Eldredge

Bryan Ryan Eldredge

Brett Eldredge will hum a cheery tune this holiday season as he helps support Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The country music singer, songwriter, and record producer is inspired by this particular hospital’s dedication to the health of children. Contributions to this charity will not only help ailing children, but will help prevent future cases of serious illness in children. See his Facebook page for more.

JDRF Minnesota & Marian of Miss Mustard Seed

Marian from Miss Mustard Seed

Marian’s quest is to help the JDRF in her blog, Miss Mustard Seed. She founded her blog on the premise of revitalizing antiques into beautiful set pieces, and this season she hopes to help rejuvenate those suffering from type 1 diabetes. Her chosen charity seeks to liberate the world of a disease that plagues both children and adults. Find out more about the fight against diabetes on her blog.

Enchanted Makeovers & Sarah of The Yellow Cape Cod

Sarah from Yellow Cape Cod

Sarah Macklem, editor of The Yellow Cape Cod, will take a break from designing homes to help her favorite non-profit organization improve the lives of women and children living in homeless shelters. She chose to support Enchanted Makeovers in their quest to empower women and children living in shelters around the country, through various unique programs. By selecting this charity, she hopes to bring awareness and support to an organization that inspires positive change and community involvement. Check out her blog for more information.

Point Hope & Radio Host Delilah

Delilah and Point Hope

Delilah, host of the number one night-time radio program in the U.S., seeks to give children a better tomorrow. In 2003, she received an email from a woman in West Africa who desperately sought aid for her three starving children. Delilah saw this as a message from God for an experience that changed her life forever. From that experience, she created Point Hope to make sure that even those without a voice can still reach her. Read more about her charity on her blog.

Reba’s Ranch House & Country Artist Reba McEntire

Reba McEntire

Reba McEntire is one of the most successful female recording artists in history and shares that success with her program, Reba’s Ranch House. Families who are awaiting the recovery of their loved ones in the hospital are given a cozy roof over their heads for care and support during these trying times. So far, this has been made possible by the charitable donations of local churches and restaurants, but you can help out, too. See her Facebook page for more.

We hope you will join us on this journey to spread the joy and cheer of Christmas all around.

The ultimate goal of the Greater Idaho Alzheimer’s Association is to wipe the tears of old men away; so they wouldn’t have to put their wives away in facilities; and wonder “Will she know me this Christmas?”

Thank you for picking Reba’s Ranch House! As a part of the RRH and Texoma Health Foundation family, I am so grateful to work and serve here each day. You can literally feel the love when you walk through the doors of this house. The operations of Reba’s Ranch House would not be possible without supporters like Balsam Hill, Reba’s longtime care for others and our many donors and friends like so many who have responded.
