Although your artificial Christmas trees won’t wither away if you don’t take care of them, they’ll still look better without that layer of dust! Maintaining an artificial Christmas tree just takes a little time and proper care.

At Balsam Hill, we have tips on how to care for your tree properly so it’ll remain as beautiful as when you first bought it.

  1. Use storage bags: Our artificial Christmas trees come with storage bags which keep your trees safe until the next holiday. Not only will this lengthen the “life” of your tree, but also helps to maintain its original quality. The best is to retain the original boxes the tree came in; put the tree in the bag, put the bag in the box, and no harm shall come to your artificial Christmas tree!
  2. Remove dust: Over time, a fine (or thick) layer of dust will slowly but surely develop on your artificial trees! The best way to combat this would be to use a dry rag or a feather duster to remove the dust.
  3. Keep away from sunlight: Sunlight may be good for the body but it definitely isn’t good for your artificial tree. Any excess heat or humidity may cause permanent damage. It will also not be covered by your warranty (ouch!). To be on the safe side, do store your artificial tree in a cool, dry area away from all the action.

Adopting these measures will ensure that you’ll still have a gorgeous tree next season. Remember, you’ve already invested in a lovely artificial tree, so do what you can to preserve its beauty!
